Rokon Tech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Snowchuck mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally

Game Scores: Your best score, best wave reached, and total games played are stored locally on your device using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
Game Settings: Your sound and haptic feedback preferences are stored locally on your device.

Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how the App is used and improve the experience. This may include:

App opens, session duration, and screen views
Device type, operating system version, and app version
General geographic region (country/region level, not precise location)
Crash reports and performance metrics
In-app events (e.g., waves completed, power-ups used) — collected anonymously with no personal identifiers

This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify individual users. No personal information such as your name, email, or account details is collected through Firebase Analytics.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Email addresses, phone numbers, or real names
Location data
Contacts, photos, or other device content
Health, financial, or sensitive personal data
Account credentials (no account creation required)

2. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads. Rewarded ads allow you to unlock special in-game powers (Ice Shield, Mega Snowball, Blizzard). Google AdMob may collect and use certain data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This may include device information and advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads.

Apple SKAdNetwork

On iOS, we use Apple's SKAdNetwork framework to attribute ad conversions in a privacy-preserving manner. SKAdNetwork does not track individual users and operates within Apple's privacy guidelines.

Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. Firebase Analytics may use device identifiers and anonymous event data to provide aggregated insights. Data is processed in accordance with Firebase's Privacy and Security documentation and Google's Privacy Policy. Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's data retention policies.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads. You can change this setting at any time in your device's Settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information handled by the App for the following purposes:

To save your game progress and best scores locally on your device
To serve advertisements through Google AdMob
To provide rewarded ads for unlocking special in-game powers
To collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports via Firebase Analytics to improve the App
To maintain and improve the App

4. Data Storage and Security

All game data (scores, wave progress, settings) is stored exclusively on your device. Anonymous analytics data is processed by Firebase Analytics on Google's secure infrastructure. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties beyond the advertising and analytics services described above.

5. Children's Privacy

Snowchuck is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require account creation and does not collect any personal information directly. Firebase Analytics data is collected anonymously and cannot identify individual users, including children.

6. Your Rights

You can:

Play the game without providing any personal information
Opt out of personalized ads through your device settings
Deny tracking permission on iOS via App Tracking Transparency
Clear all local game data by uninstalling the App
Reset your advertising identifier through your device settings
Disable analytics data sharing through your device's privacy settings

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
